System One is assisting a client in Hubbard, Ohio to find a Hot Metal Crane Operator. This client is known to bring a world-class product to their customers through their metallurgical expertise and customized engineered solutions. Producers of gray iron castings up to 160 tons and ductile iron castings up to 60 tons in weight, their melt shop consists of three, 55-ton coreless induction furnaces, efficiently produce accurate iron chemistries to customer specification.
The Hot Metal Crane Operator is required to set up for the nights cast. You will coordinate movement of ladle to pour molds, make other necessary crane moves throughout the night, close the pit, and cover the torpedo opening with the lid when casting is completed.

What you'll Do:
- Coordinate movement of ladle to molds
- Must know crane capacity and responsible ensuring that capacities are not exceeded
- Complete daily inspection of crane using EEC Crane Inspection Procedure
- Re-ladle metal in torpedo car
- Add scrap to torpedo car, as necessary
- Use beam and chains to set molds or move molds to shakeout
- Set up required stands, runners as necessary for multiple ladle pours
- Weigh down pieces for cast
- Crane Operators are also required to learn and perform Casting Production duties whenever necessary
- Must adhere to all housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment
- Perform additional duties that may become necessary within the department as assigned
What you Need:
- Experience running overhead cranes by cab
- Trained, with Hot Metal Certification, in the operation of Overhead Cranes by EEC approved in-house program.
- Safe work habits
- Able to meet vision requirements for Crane Operators
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (flame retardant clothing, face shields, respirator, safety glasses, etc.)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, all shifts, including mandatory overtime

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Crane Operator is preferred
