Responsibilities:YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain general ledger and month end journal entries as they relate to ASC 606 revenue recognition and COGS reporting. Monthly analysis is required at the project level.
- Analyze direct job costs and resulting profit per both GAAP and Government accounting procedures.
- Maintain DCAA overhead groupings, ensuring that expenditures are coded to the correct overhead groups and thus assuring that the overhead rates are correctly stated.
- Prepare job progress and profitability reports at least monthly for management. Job progress report for underperforming jobs will be done at least weekly.
- Review BOM costing for units currently in backlog, and report material cost variance by project.
- Close jobs timely as they complete and ensure that WIP balance is zero (0) for all finished jobs. Review and explain to management any closed job variance over $5,000.
- Review RMA cost each month and adjust the warranty accrual as necessary.
- Maintain / Review R&D job reports at least monthly with the Program Manager. Assist PM in reporting program variances in cost and time.
- Update Cost accounting procedures, as needed.
- Assist Sales Management with sales and profitability reports monthly. Reconcile the system sales and cost of sales reports to the general ledger.
- Assist General Accounting in preparing annual audit documentation and working papers.
- Support company compliance with ISO 9001:2000.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university specializing in Accounting and Finance. Two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
Salary Range: $69,000 - $80,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
