Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
2. Develop and implement effective cost accounting systems and procedures to enhance financial efficiency and profitability.
3. Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to senior management.
4. Monitor and analyze construction projects' costs, identifying trends, and making recommendations to optimize financial performance.
5. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
7. Assist in strategic planning and decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely financial information.
8. Continually evaluate and improve internal control systems to minimize financial risk.
9. Conduct regular account reconciliations to prevent and resolve any discrepancies.
10. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficient in budgeting, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Proficient in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team and also work independently when necessary.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
