 JOB PURPOSE: The primary function of this role is responsible for analyzing costs, monitoring financial performance, and supporting our manufacturing operations to drive efficiency and profitability.

 ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILTIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare and analyze cost reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Oversee inventory costing methods and ensure accurate valuation of inventory in compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to understand cost structures, enhance reporting, and implement cost control measures.
• Investigate and report on variances between actual and budgeted costs, providing actionable insights to management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in cost accounting and reporting within a GAAP environment.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, supporting audits and financial reviews as needed.
• Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and finance, to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational goals.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, with a preference for experience in manufacturing environments.
• Seeking an individual with exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with [Odoo, Quickbooks] is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
