(Cost Accountant) Engineered Estimate Specialist at Judge Group

Summary:

• Engineering Degree (AS or BS)
• Strong Mathematics and costing understanding

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Develop and maintain a database of historical cost data for reference in future estimates.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate estimates to clients and management.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Monitor and update estimates as project conditions change.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Degree in accounting, business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of [1-3] years of experience in estimating or a related role.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel).
