Job Summary
The position is responsible for interacting with sales representatives and customers to ascertain design needs and creative objectives. The individual will be accountable for the ability to develop innovative display component solutions or improve upon current creative solutions utilizing the set of structural design. Responsible for the use of sophisticated computer equipment, understanding and utilizing programs as a key communication media in order to interact with the customer and sales representative to develop designs to meet the customer's needs. Stays informed on software and hardware upgrades and advances.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with Sales Representatives and customers to develop creative solutions.
- Can require interaction with customer to determine packaging design/display needs.
- Provide conceptual structural solutions to meet client objectives.
- Work with and through various mixed medium materials to provide solutions.
- Accountable to provide structural solutions within business objectives.
- Completes routine and complex structural design projects, sometimes under tight time constraints.
- Prepare structural design files for prototypes, mock-up, and productions.
- Maintains project records and generates in accordance with company policy.
- Establish goals, track results design integrity, quality productivity.
- Assure that daily all Vanguard standards and Customer Commitments are met.
- Monitors all and follows guidelines of creative quality control procedures.
- Ensure all direct customer feedback is promptly communicated.
- Counsel customer on design needs for their product.
- Build effective relationships with all Vanguard service departments ensuring ability to produce a superior product.
- Proactively provide creative solution suggestions.
- Maintain and manage and effective time management schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in design.
- Design or Corrugated background preferred, but not required.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Pleasant, yet assertive communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Team-oriented.
