Our organization is a leading investment management player, and we seek a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal support to our organization by working closely with our legal department and other team members. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters including corporate law, compliance, regulatory filings, contract review, and private equity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the aforementioned areas and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of all court documents and have knowledge and experience with the SEC and other regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with our legal team to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations, including maintaining and organizing legal files, tracking deadlines, and conducting legal research.
- Provide comprehensive support in contract management, from drafting and reviewing contracts to ensuring compliance with all contractual terms and legal requirements.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including agreements, corporate documents, and board resolutions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare reports on a wide range of legal issues.
- Assist with corporate governance matters, including the preparation of board of directors' materials and corporate policies.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed, demonstrating strong time management and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in corporate law, preferably in the engineering industry.
- Knowledge of compliance, regulatory filings, contract review, and private equity is essential.
- Excellent legal writing skills, with the ability to draft and review legal documents accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and the ability to conduct legal research independently.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work.
- Knowledge of corporate governance practices and board of directors' operations is a plus.
