About the Job
Corporate Legal AssistantÂ
Responsibilities:
- Format, type, and proofread complex legal documents using CompareRite or other redlining applications.
- Manage internal and client deadlines effectively.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, meeting minutes, and other legal documents from written, oral, and dictated sources.
- Maintain, properly close, and/or purge files; scan and file Firm and Client correspondence and legal documents into I-Manage.
- Prepare new business records and engagement letters.
- Input and edit attorney's time entries and review pre-bills.
- Schedule meetings and arrange travel.
- Answer telephones, distribute messages, set up conference calls, send and receive emails and faxes; resolve issues as needed; open, sort, and distribute mail.
- Reconcile expense reimbursements; process check and petty cash requests.
- Maintain attorney's calendars by scheduling internal and external meetings; reserve conference rooms; order food and/or refreshments.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a legal secretary in Corporate.
- Exceptional proofreading, document formatting, and redlining skills.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of initiative with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Per Year
