POSITION SUMMARY
- The Corporate Controller/Hospital of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center assists the CFO in the analysis of financial data for decision making purposes. The Corporate Controller is responsible for all month end closing processes as well as the compilation of unaudited monthly financial statements and assistance with an annual financial audit. This position is used as a resource for departmental directors, unit managers and other appropriate personnel for financial analysis. The Corporate Controller should make recommendations to improve or change financial processes within the organization and perform in-house audits of operating units and analyze deficiencies.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. Three (3) years relevant experience.

- General ledger recording and reconciliation. Prepares, records, and analyzes financial transactions for assigned accounts to accumulate and record accurate and timely financial history. Performs account reconciliations and analyses to identify issues in transaction processing. Researches and proposes resolution for discrepancies.
- Reconciles posted bank transactions, works with AP department when needed, and reconciles monthly bank statements with cash postings. Posts adjustment transactions of Balance Sheet accounts.
- Process improvement and project work. Expected identify and implement process improvements. Generates ideas and collaborates with others to improve existing processes, communication, and recordkeeping. Assists to develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards.
- Performs cash application functions and processes relevant to CRMC in a manner that meets or exceeds key performance criteria.
- Ensure daily deposit reconciliation; maintain daily, monthly reporting for audit purposes.
- Reconcile daily deposit totals, review and correct discrepancies.
- Maintains thorough and detailed knowledge of compliance and recovery laws regarding processing and recoupment to ensure compliance with state laws regarding all cash processes as evident through cash collections.
- Responsible for cash balancing and reconciliation of bank deposits and communication between internal and external customers.
