Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Sr. Corporate Communications Specialist, the Corporate Communications Intern will support the development of Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) and community outreach activities to take place during and after the 2025 internship period. This individual will seek to increase employee engagement and awareness through initiatives that drive a more respectful and inclusive company culture and promote the company’s commitment to serving the communities in which we work, live, and play.
This in-person position is expected to last the entire summer term, beginning in June 2025 and continuing through August 2025. Please note: We ask for a minimum of 8-10 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
Job Responsibilities
The Corporate Communications Intern will focus on creating two to three activities for various audiences, including administrative and production teams, to increase employee engagement in the areas of I&D and community outreach. This includes:
Developing a creative brief for each activity, including a project plan, key messaging, collateral development plan, engagement activities for various audiences (administrative and production teams), and a communications plan
Assisting in writing internal communications that support I&D and community outreach initiatives
Managing translations as needed via internal and external resources
Following brand guidelines and using established templates to create communications and supporting materials
To achieve this, the Intern will complete the following during their internship:
Learn about our organization, business strategy, purpose, and culture
Learn about our organization’s current I&D efforts and community outreach program
Meet with advocates throughout the organization to better understand our I&D and community outreach journeys
Research and provide ideas for I&D-driven initiatives and employee engagement activities
At the end of the internship program period, the Intern will present a final presentation overviewing their experience, learnings and projects/activities they managed.
Job Requirements
This internship is open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, or other related discipline and/or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong collaboration skills, with an emphasis on active listening and open-mindedness
Interest in I&D efforts and enhancing the experience for all employees
Passion for community outreach, including volunteerism
Interest in copywriting for internal communications
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, including Acrobat, InDesign and Photoshop is a plus
