Please note that this position is on site at 800 W. Montgomery Ave, Philadelphia, PA. A hybrid work schedule with one day remote may be available after six months for PA residents. The job may often require 5 days in the office.
Senior Attorney – Transactional / Contract / Customer Complaints
The Senior Attorney, advises and actively represents PGW in a variety of legal matters and business transactions which may include but not be limited to contracts, procurement, real estate and other areas requiring legal counseling and/or assistance. The Senior Attorney also coordinates matters referred to outside law firms.
Responsibilities
Generally, the Senior Attorney:
Qualifications
- Must be a law school graduate with an LLB or JD degree
- Must be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
- Government or regulatory agency experience preferred.
- Must have 10 or more years of experience working with a combination of environmental and transactional law.
- Must have analytical and communication skills with the to interpret and translate complex legal terms into written and verbal forms that are easily understood by all levels of staff
- Must have leadership ability with a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions in order to provide guidance to lower level peer group and assist Legal Department in identifying the best people for special assignments and advancement.
