A bit about us:
With over 108 years of experience, we have grown into one of the region’s leading full-service firms, offering architecture and all engineering disciplines under one roof. Through years of client feedback, we've learned the value of consolidating these services into a single firm. This approach enhances the quality of our documentation, improves communication and coordination across disciplines, and streamlines project scheduling. These efficiencies also enable us to offer highly competitive design fees, eliminating the time-consuming mark-ups that often occur when working with multiple firms.
Why join us?
We are an equal-opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
We offer an industry-leading benefits package that includes healthcare coverage options such as FSA, HSA, or conventional plans, with the company covering a significant portion of the employee's cost. Employees also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) starting at 120 hours per year, pro-rated based on the start date, which can be used for vacation or sick leave. Additionally, we provide a 401K retirement plan with company matching. As an employee-owned corporation, opportunities for ownership are available.
Due to steady growth, we are expanding across all disciplines, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. We are currently accepting resumes for immediate openings in these areas.
Job Details
The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, along with a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant engineering experience. EI certification is mandatory, while PE registration is strongly preferred. Candidates should be proficient in standard design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and must have excellent technical and design calculation skills.
As an Electrical Engineer in a civil architecture firm, typical duties include designing and developing electrical systems for various projects, such as buildings and infrastructure. This involves creating detailed electrical layouts, load calculations, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and telecommunications. The engineer will also collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure electrical designs integrate seamlessly with the overall project.
In addition to design work, responsibilities extend to overseeing the production of engineering drawings, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations. During the construction phase, the engineer will provide construction administration support, which may involve reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information (RFIs), conducting site inspections, and ensuring the implementation of designs meets quality and safety standards. Strong project management and communication skills are essential for coordinating with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
**This role is located in Memphis and relocation assistance will be provided.
