Position Summary: |
Develops and coordinates dynamic outdoor science education teen programs in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden, and supervises educational facilities and programs under supervision of ECAG Manager and in collaboration with other ECAG team members. |
Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and helps to build and maintain an inclusive organization culture throughout the institution.

Qualifications: | ||
• BA in Botany, Environmental Science, Education, Museum Studies or related field, masters preferred. • Demonstrated teaching experience in informal outdoor settings • Supervisory/leadership experience working with teens, including neurodiverse youth and youth from underserved communities • Excellent written and oral communications skills • Team player, creative, deep attention to detail and organized | ||
Physical Demands & Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to, at minimum, stand, sit, walk, kneel indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Lift items up to 25 lbs.

Salary is commensurate with experience within the range of $56,700 – $63,000
