Summary
The Coordinator – Shipping and Receiving is directly responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound parcel and less than load shipments. This role is responsible for the timely movement of equipment to and from warehouse to events for the purpose of flawless execution. This position requires strong communication and coordination skills.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Manage all parcel and Less than Load transportation needs for assigned shipments
+ Utilize various freight management systems to ensure timely delivery of various materials needed to support onsite operations
+ Communicate with warehouse and event staff all related freight movements in accordance established policies and procedures
+ Validate and receive all shipments in various pieces of software utilized by Freeman
+ Perform call checks as required for shipments to ensure timely delivery
+ Work with various customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of international freight
+ Work with vendor network to provide quality service while balancing fiscal responsibility to ensure
+ Operational Excellence and Sustainable Profitability
+ Drive teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations
+ Assists other department heads as needed
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
+ Minimum 2 years of related experience within event production, warehouse management and/or transportation management preferred
