Position Summary
This position will primarily focus on the management and optimization of ANA Awards Programs. ANA Awards have been on a 4-year growth trajectory, and they aren’t slowing down. This position is being created to help implement and continue the growth of ANA’s existing awards programs, plus assist in launching new initiatives to optimize ANA’s portfolio of awards in ways that provide new opportunities for learning, engagement, and revenue. The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Awards.

There are currently seven award programs offered: B2 Awards, In-House Excellence Awards, Multicultural Excellence Awards, REGGIE Awards, The GEM Awards, and MarTech Awards. Starting pay range: $45,000 to $50,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in crafting and implementation of impactful program messaging, creation of presentations, and marketing / PR assets for program amplification & promotions.
- Play a key role in the annual “launch preparations” for each awards program from online competition platform preparation to creation of program timelines, and creation of targeted lists to attract companies to enter the awards and to confirm executives to the award juries.
- Lead on knowledge of the awards competition OpenWater platform capabilities, operations, and latest enhancements
- Work on award show production elements including organization of creative files, script writing, proofing, signage, etc.
- Assist with the fulfillment and sales of award trophies
- Assist in curation of awards program data for various ANA departments and vendors
- Assist with coordination of research and thought leadership initiatives involving award programs
- Assist with the preparation of new award products including educational workshops, entry audits, Top Teams ranking, etc.
- Assist in development of ways to improve and streamline/automate various awards tasks and processes
- Be able to travel to event venues to assist team with award gala logistics and post-event wrap up duties (out-of-town travel to various US cities 2-4 times per year).

Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree plus 1-3 years of prior internship or work experience in meetings/events, public relations, or marketing communications; would also consider someone with more of an analytical/research background who wants to pursue a different career path.
- Passion for the marketing and advertising industry, with a thirst to learn
- Must have high level of comfort in managing/organizing/reporting data elements via Excel
- Some experience managing and/or working on award programs is a plus
Attributes/Skills Required:
- Candidate must be a problem solver - highly motivated and an organized self-starter who will take the initiative to get the job done
- Ability to multitask, handle simultaneous projects, and manage tight deadlines is critical
- A teamwork focus and ability to work across various teams, in a matrixed environment. This role will collaborate across multiple teams and departments every single day.
- Strong writing and grammar skills, plus attention to details are all critical
- High proficiency in data management and use of Excel
- A professional demeanor and work style is a must
- Collaborative and compassionate people skills also are essential
- Must be hands-on, proactive and customer-service focused
- Should be comfortable with A/V conference room technology, or quick to learn
- Ability to execute job responsibilities in a timely fashion, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with the following platforms a must: MS Word and Excel, Zoom; a plus: MS Teams, CMS systems SurveyMonkey, Informz, and OpenWater
- And be sure to have a sense of humor – we will work hard, and will also need to stop and have a laugh
