Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquets Cook 1 for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for our banquet events. You will ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation for all sizes of catered events.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and specifications.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of banquet menu items.
- Ensure all food is served in a timely manner and meets our quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Assist with inventory and stock management.
- Assist with the associate dining room as needed.
- Work closely with the stewarding team to ensure a clean kitchen.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Banquet Chefs.
- Previous experience as a cook in a high-volume banquet or catering environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary school education is a plus but not required.
- Must provide copy of Food Handlers certificate
- Must be familiar with batch and quantity cooking.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
