Job Requirements
Candidates will have a minimum of 4-8 years' experience in controls engineering.
Qualified candidates are proficient in project planning, creating schematic and electrical layout drawings, working with PLCs and HMIs, and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects.
What You Do In This Role:
Candidates will help customers troubleshoot and resolve issues. They will provide technical support to the triaging team on the same.
Troubleshoot programming and electrical issues that arise on site or remotely.
Interact directly with the customer on site or remotely.
Write PLC code for semi-complex systems utilizing standard practices.
Provides support in semi-complex material specification, schematic preparation, bill-of-materials development, and appropriate follow-up.
Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
Independently run semi-complex projects through the project life cycle, including all design, documentation, and forecasting.
Assist in complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
Work Experience
What We Are Looking For:
Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. Expertise with Allen Bradley, Schneider Unity, or Siemens TIA Portal required.
Must demonstrate a working understanding of design, layout and use of current networks such as Profibus, ASi, and Ethernet.
Experience in writing descriptions of operations and developments of controls based physical layouts is expected.
Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with material handling systems is preferred.
4-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities as presented above.
Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable
Bachelor's Degree or equal in a related discipline
