Job Details
Duties and Responsibilities for an Electrical Project Engineer
Lead the design, testing, and commissioning of robotic automation systems.
Collaborate with customers to finalize system designs and control strategies.
Oversee BOMs and maintain accurate electrical documentation.
Design and review PLC hardware layouts and electrical schematics.
Program PLC systems with a focus on Rockwell Automation platforms.
Perform Factory and Site Acceptance Testing to validate system performance.
Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and budget constraints.
Provide technical expertise on power, control, and wiring systems.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and address customer requirements effectively.
Implement system design improvements based on feedback and lessons learned.
Experience and Qualifications for an Electrical Project Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field with a focus on automation and controls.
3+ years of experience in control system design and programming within industrial or robotic environments.
Expertise in developing integrated control systems for robotic cells.
Proficiency in Rockwell PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Hands-on experience with Fanuc robot programming and robotic system integration.
Strong troubleshooting skills under high-pressure scenarios.
Self-driven, proactive, and skilled in technical problem-solving.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills for seamless collaboration with internal teams and clients.
Willingness to travel locally up to 15% to support client needs.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for employment visas is not available.
