Controls Engineer at PRG Technical

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support projects across a wide range of automation, asset connectivity, and machine learning/vision systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering, with experience in engineering roles, and possess strong technical and soft skills.

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of engineering experience.
• Master s degree is acceptable in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of automation concepts or robotics.
• Understanding of networked machines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Familiarity with data analytics.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in robot and/or PLC programming.
• Familiarity with machine tool connectivity.
• Experience with 3D modeling software.
• Knowledge of machine learning/vision systems.

Soft Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
