About the Job
KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Controls Engineer.
The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PLC programs and HMI interfaces for material handling equipment. With a strong foundation in PLC programming, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer requirements and optimize equipment performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement PLC programs to control material handling equipment.
- Design and configure HMI interfaces to provide intuitive operator control and monitoring capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers to understand system requirements and translate them into effective PLC and HMI solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PLC programs and HMI interfaces.
- Provide ongoing support for equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to PLC programming and HMI development.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in PLC programming, with a strong preference for the Rockwall platform.
- Proven experience in HMI development and configuration.
- Solid understanding of electrical control systems and automation principles.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other PLC programming platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, Modbus).
