Essential:
Bachelors in accounting or finance related discipline, Master's degree preferred.
5 or more years of professional experience in business or accounting, two or more years in manufacturing/light industrial company ideal. Incredibly hands on role.
Expert knowledge of cash management, accounts receivables/payables management, progressive billing, payroll, and preparation of financials.
Proficiency with business software application and financial and ERP systems, experience with QuickBooks preferred, both the software and online versions.
Ability to effectively communicate by phone, in writing, and in person.
Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes when faced with challenging situations and customers.
Knowledge of current federal, state, and local financial and accounting laws, regulations, trends, and compliance.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor financial activities and details such as reserve levels to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
Partner with accounting firm to prepare and file annual tax returns.
Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.
Perform financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll reconciliation, and budgeting duties.
Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
Seek and recommend solutions and improvements.
Estimate and deliver upon schedules and plans.
Comply with company policies and procedures and promote company values and culture.
