We are currently seeking a Controller with the below qualifications:
The Tooling Controller will lead all accounting and reporting related functions with a focus on team leadership and development, quality, timeliness, and process improvement. Ensure timely monthly closes of the general ledger and be responsible for all financial reporting including financial statements and other related internal reports as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all general accounting functions, reviewing, preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Manage month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Maintains the integrity of the financial data and ensures proper usage of IQMS & Epicor.
- Create and develop deliverables for division management that provide insight and aid in business decisions.
- Assist site managers in developing financial tools of the site
- Reviewing postings of daily invoicing and Disposition, Manual, and Receiving PIT’s with investigation and analysis of issues resulting from posting.
- Review monthly Balance Sheet and P&L and research variances
- Oversee sales and use tax related matters to ensure compliance
- Ensure proper cost accounting at site
- Oversee activities related to payables and receivables, including addressing questions and following up with vendors and customers
- Accountable for all direct customer contact on collection activities for delinquent AR balances.
- Assists Corporate Controller to ensure all Accounting Standard policies, procedures and practices are being complied with appropriately. Informs controller when discrepancies are noted.
- Develops and implements new programs, policies and procedures as appropriate to ensure financial reporting requirements can be met.
- Pursues continuous improvement opportunities to ensure divisional needs are met.
- Work with site leadership in the creation of the annual budget and forecasts
- Assist in information requests for annual audit
- Assist with special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Experience in a manufacturing environment that utilizes a standard costing system a plus
- Comfortable learning new software/computer skills.
- Proficient to high level skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills
