Controller (Small Company) – Hands-On Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Implement and maintain financial systems, with a strong emphasis on QuickBooks Online.
• Partner with leadership to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial best practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in a small company environment is highly preferred.
