Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
2. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
3. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
4. Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.
5. Evaluate and manage risk, perform financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making processes.
6. Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies, understand and report on financial implications of business decisions and strategy.
7. Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports, presenting findings and recommendations to the company's senior management team.
8. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, implementing and maintaining internal control systems.
9. Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls, ensuring all audit issues are resolved and compliance is maintained with all required legislation.
10. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, ideally within the Engineering industry.
3. Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and management.
4. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost-control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
7. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
8. Strong leadership qualities and team management skills.
9. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial colleagues.
10. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular emphasis on high-level Excel use.
