This role involves establishing and executing internal controls for accounting and financial procedures, managing all accounting aspects from invoicing to billing and financial statement preparation, coordinating with external tax accountants for tax preparation and audits, and providing accurate financial information to executive management. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, can handle challenges or tight deadlines with professionalism, and manage multiple accounts efficiently. Responsibilities
Establish and execute internal controls over the company’s accounting and financial procedures.
Manage all aspects of accounting: books and records, billing, financial statements, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, revenue recognition, expense account and bank reconciliation, and various special analysis and projects.
Coordinate with external tax accountants for income tax preparation and lead audits (bank and annual), and prepare the company’s month-end, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Provide accurate and comprehensive financial information and metrics to executive management necessary to monitor financial performance of the company.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent leadership skills and professionalism.
Proficient in Excel Expense Reconciliation Software such as Concur and Expensify
Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles and accrual accounting.
Ability to manage and coordinate all internal and external audit procedures.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration is required.
At least 7 years of accounting experience, Certified Public Accountant (a plus).
Financial Services Sector Experience (FINRA and SEC reporting experience a plus).
