Controller - Switch4 LLC

Overview:
Seeking for an experienced Controller to join the team at Fullerton, CA site. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting the Director of Operations in developing financial plans and forecasts, analyzing operational results, and providing leadership to the finance department staff. You will work closely with the facility leadership team and business partners to ensure the financial health and success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations for two manufacturing facilities on the same site.
• Perform financial forecasting, profit and COGS analysis, cost management, inventory control, and capital investment requests.
• Act as a key business partner to the Director of Operations, providing financial insights and guidance.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting formats, procedures, and schedules to support reporting and analysis processes.
• Participate in business transformation initiatives, driving improvements and eliminating waste in administrative functions.
• Prepare and present financial reports, narratives, graphs, and data for management and customer presentations.
• Identify key areas for business improvement and lead efforts to implement solutions.
• Coordinate the capital appropriation process and conduct post-project reviews.
• Collaborate with plant management to set performance goals for quality, productivity, delivery, inventory optimization, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.
• Manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Communicate complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner to non-finance personnel.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or business with an emphasis in finance or accounting.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant financial or controller leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a Location/Plant Controller for a manufacturing facility with at least $150 million in annual sales.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience, managing and developing staff in financial, payroll, and operational functions.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems.
  • Experience with project management, multi-tasking, and executing data queries..

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA, CMA, and/or CPA.
• Strong cost accounting skills, including multi-level routing and bill of materials cost accounting experience.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to maintain focus and concentration in a busy office environment.
• Ability to wear safety steel-toe shoes and walk around the shop floor as needed.
• Must be able to remove dangling jewelry and wear hearing protection when required on the shop floor.
