Top Responsibilities of the Controller?

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee monthly P&L releases for 140+ advisor teams, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage consolidation accounting and explain GAAP-related fluctuations and operational impacts.
• Assess and improve internal financial controls, including documentation, cross-training, and approvals.
• Lead the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely processing of invoices and excellent service to advisors and corporate teams.
• Oversee Payroll Processing and Accounting, implementing processes to manage and track human capital spending.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Optimize financial systems, including ERP, for accuracy, efficiency, and system integration.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective and efficient operations.
• Actively participate in private equity sponsor transactions.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose strategies for improvement.

• 12+years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA
• Systems savvy abilities with Excel and middle to large size ERP systems.
• Experience managing large teams
