Are you a financial wizard with an affinity for the construction industry? We are currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our financial management and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forecasting, budgeting, and financial management within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of our company. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Overseeing all financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.
2. Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly and annual statements, to the executive team.
3. Developing and implementing financial strategies, including budgeting and forecasting, to support the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
4. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
5. Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, including the preparation of detailed annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
6. Analyzing financial data and providing strategic recommendations based on findings.
7. Collaborating with the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
8. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls.
9. Evaluating and managing risk, ensuring all financial operations align with industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in financial forecasting and budgeting.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Knowledge of construction industry regulations and financial standards.
