Job Details
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a senior role
- Extensive experience in construction accounting and financial management
Skills and Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and construction-specific accounting principles
- Proficiency in construction accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including AP/AR, job cost accounting, and payroll
- Manage the monthly close process and prepare financial statements
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting procedures
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners
- Oversee risk management and insurance programs
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial and operational efficiency
- This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of financial management in the construction industry and the ability to drive financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity
