Join the Control Functions Legal team, which provides legal advice to the Consumer and Community Bank (CCB) Control Functions (Control Management, Compliance, Risk, and Audit) and monitors, analyzes, reports, and advises on legal and regulatory changes for all CCB lines of business (Auto Finance, Business Banking, Card Services, Consumer Banking, Digital and Payments, Home Lending, JPMorgan Wealth Management, and associated operations).
As a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel on the Control Functions Legal team, you will provide independent advice and counsel to the CCB Control Functions, including Control Management and Compliance. In this role, you will advise the firm's newly formed Testing Center of Excellence on legal and regulatory issues impacting all of CCB's lines of business. You will also advise the Compliance team responsible for regulatory exam management by advising on regulatory disclaimers and reviewing regulatory submissions. This dynamic role will offer broad exposure to legal and control partners across CCB, including senior leaders.

Job responsibilities
+ Collaborate with legal stakeholders across CCB to advise Control Function partners on legal and regulatory issues impacting all of CCB's lines of business, including Auto Finance, Business Banking, Card Services, Consumer Banking, Digital and Payments, Home Lending, JPMorgan Wealth Management, and associated operations.
+ Ensure clear and open communication between Legal and CCB Control Function partners.
+ Serve as the primary attorney supporting the newly formed Testing Center of Excellence.
+ Provide legal support to the Compliance team responsible for regulatory exam management, including by advising on regulatory disclaimers, reviewing regulatory submissions, and advising on confidential supervisory information-related issues.
+ Participate in the design, implementation, and enhancement of legal and regulatory change management processes.
+ Represent CCB Legal as a stakeholder for Controls Change Manager (a change readiness workflow tool) by supporting the ongoing development of the product, escalating issues and recommendations from Legal to the product owners, and providing support and education to CCB attorneys to improve user experience.
+ Provide other support to the team and our clients, including responding to inquiries from regulators, audit, and compliance, and coordinating special research projects.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
+ J.D. required.
+ Must have at least 5 years of litigation/compliance/regulatory experience; consumer financial services experience.
+ Demonstrated executive/professional presence with the ability and willingness to present to senior business, functional and legal leaders.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive complex projects across multiple lines of business.
+ Team player who can effectively collaborate within the legal department and across business/functional groups and build strong working relationships.
+ Analytical and strategic thinker who is skilled at issue spotting and problem solving.
+ Self-starter who takes end to end ownership of issues and projects.
+ Must exercise decisive, sound judgment in a fast-paced, changing environment.
+ Strong sense of honesty and ethics as an officer of the court and a representative protecting the reputation of JPMC.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
+ Experience or interest in consumer banking, financial services regulations and/or financial services litigation.
+ Regulatory, government, or compliance experience.
+ Technological mindset/background and a willingness to learn.
