Contracts Specialist - Zachary Piper LLC

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a cleared Contracts Specialist to support a defense agency in Arlington, VA (Ballston Square). The team is seeking a dynamic skill set in contract negotiation, cost/price analysis, and working with a government contract management office to establish pre/post award solicitations and identify the necessary contract type (Cost Plus, FFP, Grant, BPA, Cooperative Agreement, or T&M). This is a HYBRID role requiring 1 day onsite and the rest remote. This will be a great opportunity to be a part of a multi year program that supports Break-through technologies & AI services for the warfighter!

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and administering terms and conditions for contracts that contribute to national security objectives
• Collaborating with COR to negotiate solicitations and release
• Modifying with precision and proficiency within Excel
• Conducting in-depth analysis of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance
• Preparing and maintaining essential contract file documentation according to FAR, DFARS, and related regulations

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience with DoD acquisition & contract writing (cradle to grave)
• Experience with navigating through a contract writing system, specifically Procure Defense Desktop
• Strong experience with FFP/Cost Plus Contracts, Cooperative Agreements, & Grants
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Active DoD Secret clearance

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $120-170k per year
