Responsibilities:
We currently have a great opportunity for a Consultant, Training Development. The Consultant, Training Development role is responsible to coordinate, develop and implement training assets for the service organization, including Field Service and Distributors. This role will partner with the Instructional Design (ID) team, Center for Learning (CFL) Media team, Technical Product Management (TPM) team, and CFL subject matter experts (SME’s) to create, facilitate, and assess educational courses using the latest tools, technologies, and education strategies. The Consultant, Training Development will ensure that training is delivered via a diverse and technologically advanced education portfolio using live broadcast technologies for online instructor-led training, self-paced, web-based modules, and in-person instruction at the training center. This role will partner with the CFL leadership team in executing strategy in support of the advancement of healthcare through the highest quality education and will demonstrate a passion for training excellence and innovation along with a commitment to superior customer care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Management (80%)
1. Development and oversight of technical training curriculums for newly launched products, and revise and update older training assets and courses to meet current needs.
2. Working together with the ID team, TPM’S, and CFL SME’s coordinate, assess, and define learning objectives.
3. Partner with the ID, and Media teams along with instructor SME’s on the development and optimization of training programs and materials.
4. Assist in the development of instructor competencies as well as coordinating the training and on-boarding of new instructors to the technical training team. .
5. Work with the Sr. Manager, Technical/Appl Training Svc to support the New Product Introduction and Commercialization Process (NPIP) by insuring training readiness for all stake holders.
6. Review internal and external customer feedback on a timely basis. Handle escalated issues with guidance and counsel from the CFL leadership team.
Facilitation and Evaluation of classes (20%)
7. Facilitate learning for Sysmex Service Engineers via virtual and onsite classes using Zoom video platform and live in-person environment.
8. Assist with the development of instructors by attending courses to evaluate instructor skills and identify development needs.
9. Evaluate live classes to gauge content and curriculum needs using a variety of feedback mechanisms.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Travel Percentage: 10%
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years required experience in Laboratory equipment or other science field, which may include experience in the Armed Forces.
- MT, ASCP or CLS or Similar Degree is a plus.
- Certification in Adult learning and/or Instructional Design a plus.
- 2 years technical and/or clinical support experience
- 2 years Sysmex facilitation experience is a plus
- Remote teaching experience is a plus
- On-camera experience a plus
- Proficient in English grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage.
- Fluent in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and/or French Canadian a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite products
- Ability to employ interpersonal skills, conflict management and influence.
