Construction Superintendent - Water/Wastewater Plants at System One

About the Job
As the Construction Superintendent, you will oversee skilled trades crews and manage onsite construction activities for a variety of large industrial projects, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic Region. These are mainly water/wastewater plant construction projects but may also include factories, production facilities, and data centers across diverse industries and clients.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Area Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineers on the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project.
Supervise and lead several foremen to ensure work is conducted safely, productively, and with a focus on quality.
Foster a 24/7 safety culture within your crews.
Assist the Project Manager in creating the Primavera P6 project schedule.
Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules for crews.
Conduct pre-planning and goal-setting sessions with crews.
Oversee costs associated with your work items.
Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling, and material needs for crews.
Schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical experience progressing from Journeyman to Foreman to Superintendent.
6+ years of field management experience in similar construction projects.
Skills and Abilities: Understand and interpret safety laws and company policies/standards.
Apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team of varied self-performing trade disciplines.
Proficiency in assembling 90-day and 3-week schedules in Microsoft Excel and using Microsoft Word for pre-planning processes.
Ability to take responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.
