Job Overview
Bluewater of South Florida is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee site development and underground utility projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure project execution stays on time and within budget while maintaining safety, quality, and resource efficiency. You'll collaborate with engineers, clients, and the director of operations, manage crews and equipment, and provide technical guidance to your team.

- Project Leadership & Coordination:
- Supervise and manage 6-7 foremen, each overseeing 1-7 crew members.
- Plan and organize projects with the director of operations and project manager.
- Coordinate with engineers, clients, and QA teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Submit detailed daily reports and photos using Raken software.
- Verify and ensure work quality meets project specifications.
- Site & Crew Management:
- Schedule and coordinate activities for assigned craft workers, ensuring jobs stay on time, within budget, and efficient in labor use.
- Manage equipment across all jobs to ensure functionality and minimize downtime.
- Lead toolbox talks and maintain safety compliance across job sites.
- Oversee trench work, sewer installation, curbs, asphalt, concrete, and finish grading.
- Conduct inspections for safety, quality, and compliance with regulations.
- Hands-On Support:
- Operate and provide hands-on guidance for machinery as needed, teaching team members best practices.
- Assist with trench safety, equipment operation, and hand signals when required.
- Job Progression:
- Oversee jobs from start to finish, ensuring proper execution for first-in tasks such as underground utilities and last-out tasks like paving and grading.
- Experience:
- Minimum 4 years in a supervisory or management role within underground utility, civil construction, or earthwork construction.
- Expertise in underground utilities, trench safety, sewer systems, water/fire mains, stormwater installation, curbs, concrete, asphalt, and finish grading.
- Hands-on experience with trench work, operating machinery, and teaching teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Raken software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with QA processes and client communication.
- CDL is a plus.
- Certifications (Required):
- FDOT Advanced M.O.T. Certificate.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (30-Hour preferred).
