Western States Reclamation is a premier restoration contractor in the Western United States with over 200 team members. WSR has covered every corner of the industry including wildfire rehabilitation, oil and gas pipelines, wind and solar farms, highways and railroads, river restoration, building parks and public open spaces. WSR is currently hiring a Construction Superintendent who will manage projects that entail civil earthwork construction, seeding, sodding, erosion control product installation, woody plant installation, wetlands plantings, and temporary/permanent irrigation system installation. Project sizes vary from $50K to $4M for a single contract.
Essential Functions:
- Supervision of crews numbering in size from 4 to 25 employees
- Document daily on-site activities, schedule updates, e-mail correspondence and other activities necessary to keep all project stakeholders informed and to protect the interests of the Company
- Communicate with Client, Project Engineer, Project Manager, and/or General Contractor to resolve questions
- Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress and other necessary meetings
- Coordinate subs, engineers, consultants and others to maximize efficiency
- Manage employees consistent with Company HR guidelines
- Identify high potential employees for possible advancement and train as needed
- Review bids for work in your area that are of the size and scope that warrant your input prior to distribution to the client
- Complete any assigned tasks on time and to standard to support other departments, i.e. Payroll, Project Management, Estimating, Sales, etc.
- Manage job sites to maximize employee safety
- Monitor employees for safety compliance
- Utilize equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize costs while maintaining project schedule

Work Environment:
- Sit, stand, and walk frequently
- Use office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, and printer
- Outside field work and indoor office environment
- Ability lift or move up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience:
- Commercial construction experience: 5 years (Required)
- Construction field management: 3 years (Preferred)
- College graduate in related field (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- Pass a drug screen
Expected Hours of Work:
- This role is considered full-time working approximately 40 hours per week and is exempt from overtime
Benefits:
- 6 paid holidays per calendar year (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) after 30 days of employment.
- 10 paid days off (PTO) per year. PTO will begin to accrue at a rate of one day per month after 60 days of employment.
- Up to 48 hours of paid sick time per year.
- 401K plan eligibility after 60 days of employment, with company matching up to 4%.
- Health insurance eligibility on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Currently, the company pays approximately 100% of the employee's insurance under the standard plan. You may enroll in a PPO plan and add family member coverage for an additional charge.
