POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects with a strong focus on quality control and health & safety management. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded, hands-on, and responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Location: North Carolina (Raleigh/Durham) &/OR (Jacksonville)
Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain access to military and federal facilities. Public Trust Clearance (minimum). U.S. Citizenship is required to meet this requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met according to the project schedule.
- Manage project budgets and resources efficiently.
Quality Control
- Implement and enforce quality control plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities according to Impyrian standards.
Health & Safety Management
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, trainings, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure all site personnel comply with safety regulations and practices.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Communication and Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
- Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project.
Documentation and Compliance
- Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage and document any changes to the project scope.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on quality control and health & safety.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and standards.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Certifications:
- OSHA certification or equivalent health & safety training.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the construction site for extended periods.
TRAVEL
- Work locations are in Raleigh/Durham & Jacksonville, NC areas
