Field Safety Specialist – Construction Real Estate Strategy & Services Project
Who are we?
As an independent utility vegetation management consulting contractor, Atlas Field Services, LLC has supported our client's vegetation management programs since 2016. Our company consists of ISA Certified Arborists, Safety and Utility Specialists that verify and Audit tree contractor’s work for compliance with client specifications and needs.
AFS is committed to leveraging its extensive experience in construction and facilities management to provide experience with qualified staff to ensure client expectations.
About our Role:
The Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Services (CRESS) Safety Specialist will conduct site safety observations and manage client SafetyNet and ISN badge scanning, reporting, and recommendations. Candidate must live within the client service territory to be considered for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Monitor the work, conduct, and record safety observations per frequency as defined in the CRESS oversight procedures.
· Assist in the development of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
· Assist in Safety Plan review as needed.
· Perform ISN badges to field-verify contract partner prequalification and required coworker training.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- At least three (3) years’ experience in construction such as demolition, fall protection, excavation, confined spaces, handling hazardous materials, soil classifications for monitoring or shoring at construction site.
- Ability to utilize Mobile app-based Surveys, and basic understanding of MS Excel spreadsheets to record observations.
- Self-sufficient/ self-starter, ability to develop working relationships with other contractor.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to multi-task and an attention to detail.
- Must be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
- Must have basic computer skills and utilize a smart phone proficiently.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to drive company provided vehicle required.
- Bi-lingual speaking (English and Spanish) is a plus.

- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles (e.g. in warehouse, at customer sites).

- Work alone in an outdoor field environment; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demands and travel from site to site, including: walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills and slopes; exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions.
PRE-QUALIFICATIONS
- Must pass a post-offer background and drug screening.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
