Title: Construction Project Manager V
Location: Remote (East Coast preferred)
Duration: 12 months (with the option to extend another 12 months)
Compensation: $80.00 - $95.00/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, Green Card Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
The Construction Project Manager V will be responsible for managing onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center fit-out projects in leased properties across North America. This role requires strong leadership, coordination skills, and expertise in construction management for mission-critical and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction scopes, including retrofits of existing data halls and build-outs of new spaces within leased data centers.
- Provide coordination between contractors, landlords, consultants, and cross-functional partners.
- Support lead construction managers in contractor, designer, and vendor management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficiency and alignment on project goals.
- Create and maintain project schedules with support from Project Controls and Scheduling teams.
- Oversee cost changes, negotiate pricing, and manage CapEx forecasting for project-related costs.
- Conduct regular site walks and work-in-progress (WIP) reviews to validate project milestones and invoicing accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and lead an industry-leading safety culture.
- Handle Method of Procedures (MOPs) for retrofit/remedy work in live data centers.
- Facilitate project closeout, ensuring all handover conditions are met.
- Travel approximately 50% to support project sites across North America.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in the design or construction of data centers or critical infrastructure projects.
- General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems.
- Proficiency in CPM scheduling practices and Primavera P6 software.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different phases.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning retrofit and new leased data center build-outs.

- Construction management for large-scale projects.

Typical Day in the Role:
The Construction Project Manager will meet with contractors to review progress, budgets, schedules, and change orders. They will maintain a strong field presence, serving as the first point of contact for cross-functional partners and contractors. Emphasis will be on ensuring safety, professional communication, and escalation of key issues when necessary.
