About the Job
The wet underground utilities and plumbing, Construction Project Manager is responsible for the safety, day-to-day over-sight, delivery of all projects, planning and communications of all current utilities and commercial plumbing construction projects. Our firm only works in the commercial plumbing industry, no residential plumbing or service calls. You will manage your construction projects from start to finish with the help of a seasoned support staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversees a team of supervisors and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
· Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
· Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
· Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project. Must have a complete working knowledge of estimating.
· Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
· Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk.
· Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
· Identifying issues and providing resolution through Request for Information (RFI) and Change Order processes.
· Identifying manpower and equipment needs through interaction with company project superintendents.
· Evaluating project schedule status and providing solutions to maintain the period of performance completion dates.
· Validating contract work scopes
· During times of high bid volume assisting with estimating from start to finish
· Reviewing material submittals and shop drawings
· Assisting project superintendents with material orders when needed
· Must have complete working knowledge of all aspects of commercial plumbing from estimating the project to installation.
· Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
· Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Construction Management, or Mechanical Engineering, required.
· At least three years of commercial plumbing, wet utilities or related experience required.
· PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.
· Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
· Estimating experience, preferably with Estimation Estimating Software (Clearview- Viewpoint Construction Software)
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to traverse on uneven surfaces throughout the entire facility.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
