Construction Project Manager - Demolition Company - Base Salary to 120k/year - Baltimore, MD

• With 110 years of continuous service, our client has become the preeminent hazardous material abatement, selective structural and building razing operation in the Mid-Atlantic! They are a specialized subcontractor with expertise in complex structural demolition and environmental remediation by clearing the way for responsible development and revitalization projects in urbanized communities.
• The Construction Project Manager will be an integral party of our growing team in Baltimore. This person will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, submittals, logs, plans, and coordinating with all field management.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, estimators, architects, and owners
• Will create budgets and generate project schedules
• Will work with RFI’s and owner’s change orders in real time
• Will negotiate and write contract documents with external vendors/subcontractors
• Analyze and determine resources (labor, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with strong attention to budgetary constraints and cost savings
• Must be able to manage all subcontractors and internal staff as needed
• Evaluate the progress of each project by preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards according to OSHA regulations and company expectations.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the Construction Industry to be considered for this role
  
  • Candidates with a general construction background are also encouraged to apply
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering would be a huge plus for this role but not required
• Experience with heavy building razing projects (hospitals, industrial complexes, commercial office towers, or schools) his highly preferred
• Must be entirely proficient with schedule building and CPM scheduling methods
• Additional experience in civil, heavy highway, or demolition projects
• Must be very contract savvy and have the ability to perform expert level negotiations
• Must be able to successfully manage scope of work then manage any extras, changes, or delays in each project with proven success
• Must be able to visit projects throughout Washington, Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland, Central Maryland, Delaware and Central Pennsylvania as needed
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 120k/year.
