Construction Project Manager - Architectural Metals and Glass Fabrication - Base Salary to 120k/year - Queens, NY

With experience in enclosures, ornamental metals, architectural specialties, mechanical components, and metal art they can fabricate and install in commercial buildings, stadiums, and airports across New York City. With their own in-house design, project management, and estimating teams – they are well-equipped for any challenging project!
- The Construction Project Manager is a crucial member of this local team in Middle Village, NY. The Construction Project Manager will oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The Construction Project Manager will work with our clients' Estimating team, General Contractor, Architect, and Subcontractors to ensure project dates are met!
Responsibilities:
- Tracking construction document changes
- Coordinating with the General Contractor, Architect, and Subcontractors to ensure project dates are met. Items include but not limited to:
- Communicating to the client tasks which will need to be completed in order for our company to perform our contractual work
- Resolving issues and conflicts which arise during the course of construction and making decisions to keep the project on track
- Track submittals
- Track change orders
- Track costs in relationship to the estimate
- Managing construction project schedules from submittal, fabrication, and installation perspective
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience on large complex commercial construction projects
- Experience working with metal and glass fabrication/installation is highly desired for this role
- Project Management schedule building
- Construction drawings and specification
- Ability to analyze crew sizes and material needs for self-perform activities
- Experience comparing self-perform pricing against historical costs and productivity
- Aware of union trade wage hour restrictions
- Consults with internal team members for their input and expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- History of developing project schedules
- Preferably, this candidate will have an extensive architectural background
- Must have the ability to work in-office, 5 days/week
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 75k – 120k/year range
- Annual bonus potential
