Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Administrative Specialist to manage the permitting process for our construction projects. This role ensures all required permits are obtained accurately and on time, enabling smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating permitting procedures, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with local authorities and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies for construction projects.
- Track the status of permit applications and follow up to ensure timely approvals.
- Review project documents to confirm compliance with permitting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, applications, and associated correspondence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between VMG and permitting agencies.
- Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding permit-related updates.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the permitting process.
- Stay informed of changes in permitting regulations and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction administration, permitting, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of permitting processes and regulations in the construction industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or general construction projects is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent
