We are seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to join us in our San Antonio, TX office!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Construction Materials Testing technician will perform quality control testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, grout, and mortar.
+ Technician may be required to cast and break concrete specimens per ACI, keep track of all work completed through daily reports, keep track of travel-time between project sites, review daily schedules for assignments, and have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
+ Projects may require this person to be the only materials testing technician for the project.
+ A licensed professional engineer will oversee and authorize work performed by construction technician. Communication with contractors and construction superintendents will be required. Ability to work independently with no direct supervision.
+ This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ This position is an entry-level position, which requires little to no experience, but the ability to learn and be trained.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 0 to 5 years of construction materials testing experience
+ Has or able to obtain the following certifications: Level 1A, Level 1B, SB101, SB102
+ Has or able to obtain ACI Concrete Field/Strength Testing Technician
Technical Requirements:
+ Able to use MS Outlook
+ Able to use MS Word
Other miscellaneous qualities:
+ Ability to travel 10% within west Texas area with overnight stays
+ Valid driver’s license
