Job Summary
Ulrich Lifestyle Structures is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our expanding team. The Construction Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing a diverse range of custom build projects from initiation to completion. In addition to the existing responsibilities, the Construction Manager will be instrumental in controlling costs, managing subcontractors, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure the success of each project.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee custom build projects from beginning to end, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Manage the budget, estimate costs, and implement cost-control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed, optimizing resource allocation.
- Train and manage construction workers and laborers, fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
- Meet regularly with construction crews and customers to address concerns and provide project updates.
- Coordinate building permit applications and facilitate the approval process.
- Schedule inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Manage the specified territory efficiently, optimizing project workflows and resource utilization.
- Resolve any problems that may arise during construction, taking proactive measures to mitigate issues.
- Ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment to project sites according to the schedule.
- Ensure all subcontractor crew members work safely, following company, OSHA, and building code guidelines.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively among subcontractor crews to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct regular site checks to monitor progress, quality standards, and adherence to schedules.
- Implement effective budgeting and scheduling practices to optimize project outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the construction projects.
Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Building Science, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- PMP certification or equivalent would be an asset.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with expertise in controlling costs and managing subcontractors.
- Highly organized with basic computer skills.
- Knowledgeable in relevant rules, regulations, permitting, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage a team of subcontract laborers on multiple sites throughout the region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
