Construction Estimator - Commercial GC - Base Salary to 120k/year - Dallas, TX

- They are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team in Texas. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction process, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry, with a strong understanding of various construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and other project documents.
- Conduct thorough take-offs, material and labor cost evaluations, and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to clarify scope, specifications, and other project requirements.
- Assess potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
- Review subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure completeness and accuracy and negotiate pricing as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid openings as required.
- Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new technologies.
- Prepare bid packages and submit them on time, ensuring all required documentation is included.
- Support the project team in value engineering efforts to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Estimator within the commercial construction industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with project management processes and documentation.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 100k – 120k/year range
