Construction Administrator
ResourceTek is the Human Capital subsidiary of an ENR ranked, multi-discipline Engineering firm providing technical services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Construction, and a broad range of other technical disciplines.
In support of our client, an international Automotive manufacturer, we are searching for a Construction Administrator to support the transformation of existing facility into a center for EV manufacturing and technology in Canton, MS. This person will collaborate directly with our client’s construction project management team and vendors to provide leadership and administration for an estimated 18–24-month contract assignment. There is a possibility it could turn into a direct hire opportunity.
The Construction Administrator is responsible for ensuring documents for construction and engineering projects are accurately developed and maintained. The position requires you to think on your feet, work with minimal supervision and multitask effectively; use independent judgment and have the initiative to take on new tasks and challenges every day. Excellent skills using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; and the internet. Work is frequently complex, proprietary, and requires strong administrative skills as well as excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintains technical documentation for each project to include tracking, logging and maintaining all required engineering, architectural and construction documents, vendor submittals, shop drawings, design review records, special studies, etc.
- Works with Engineers and Project Managers to develop KPI's for each project and phase (Key Performance Indicators).
- Ensures that proper project procedures are adhered to.
- Ensures that all required signatures are included on project documentation.
- Provides input for the development of project procedures and analyzes project-related data.
- Produces project status reports, technical reports, worksheets, etc.
- Maintains the project’s library of technical documents.
Job Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Engineering or Construction Management a plus.
- Minimum of five (5) years of document control experience is required
- Engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) experience is preferred.
- Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
- Must exhibit professional behaviors and appearance and be aware of the importance of teamwork within the assigned department.
- Ability to read, write, reason, analyze, evaluate, problem solve, perform mathematical calculations and allocate resources as appropriate
- Software: Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., SharePoint, MS Project, ProjectWise v8i or other PM software desired.
