Construction Accountant
3 Month Temporary Assignment
$35.00 - $45.00 hourly
In this role, you will:
- Oversee construction-related accounting activities, including job costing, WIP (work-in-progress) reporting, and contract billing
- Prepare and maintain accurate project financial reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Assist with preparing supporting schedules, such as fixed assets, project budgets, and audit documentation
- Process construction-specific invoices, subcontractor payments, and lien waivers
- Reconcile accounts, including General Ledger and WIP reports, and analyze project budgets and expenses
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to monitor project performance, perform variance analysis, and support decision-making
- Generate and review financial reports, including budget-to-actual comparisons
You're a great fit if you have:
- Experience working with SAGE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction accounting including supporting year-end audits and closing
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup's)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
