About the Role
As a Configuration Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in harnessing technology to empower our clients in improving healthcare outcomes for their communities' most vulnerable members.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate the Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) across various functional areas.
- Support complex system configuration changes and new requirements, ensuring thorough analysis, design, build, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system configuration errors, conduct investigations, and perform root cause analysis of issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate designs effectively across different organizational levels.
- Implement and evaluate design solutions objectively, facilitating conflict resolution when necessary.
- Configure claims adjudication logic and manage provider contracts, fee schedules, and claims payment rules.
- Ensure quality assurance and testing within health plan configuration systems to guarantee readiness for implementation.
- Collaborate closely with the quality assurance team to align testing efforts with system deliveries and business processes.
- Drive improvements in the service development life cycle and governance processes.
- Utilize enterprise service and data models to support configuration and development activities.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in claims configuration, with recent expertise in QNXT.
- Proficiency in analyzing quantitative data, identifying patterns, and recommending solutions.
- Strong background in healthcare, with knowledge of coding, financial rate setup, or claims processing in a managed care environment.
- Familiarity with medical claims data formats and restrictions (e.g., Revenue Codes, ICD-10, CPT Codes).
- Experience translating technical requirements into actionable solutions.
- Basic understanding of computer programming concepts and batch processing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software for quantitative analysis.
- Excellent analytical, business process re-engineering, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and motivate team members, effectively communicating technical ideas.
Additional Skills/Experience Preferred
- Experience with PL/SQL, writing requirements for stored procedures, and testing stored procedures.
- Hands-on configuration experience with Medicaid systems such as Provider Contracts, Benefits, Rates, Claims Edits/Audits.
- Familiarity with 3M Grouper and ClaimsXten is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
