Description

Mankato Clinic is seeking a BC/BE Ophthalmologist to join three ophthalmologists and one optometrist in a very busy clinical practice. You will enjoy a rewarding, challenging practice and still have time for family and the lifestyle you desire. A comprehensive ophthalmologist with special interest in medical retina. Fellowship trained medical retina specialists are also encouraged to apply. Full-time or part-time applicants will be considered. We offer an ideal opportunity to join an established practice with low physician turnover. Our physician-owned multi-specialty group has a large primary care referral base. We have strong support staff including eight Certified Ophthalmic Assistants; five ophthalmic assistants, seven scribes, and is managed by a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. The Eye Care Center includes an onsite optical shop. We are located on our Wickersham campus with an attached ambulatory surgery center.

We use state-of-the-art equipment with Haag Streit slit lamps, Keeler wireless indirect and Reliant chairs and stands in all provider lanes. We currently have 17 exam lanes. We have a Zeiss Cirrus OCT, IOL Master 700, Atlas corneal topographer, Humphrey Visual Field analyzer 860, and OPTOS California fundus camera. Lasers available in the clinic include Ellex Tango (YAG / SLT), Zeiss 532s Argon with Trion LIO. We do in-office injections with Avastin, Lucentis, Eylea, Eylea HD, and Vabysmo. Our minor procedure room has a surgical microscope and can be divided into two separate areas.

Work/life balance is an important part of physician culture at Mankato Clinic. Annual physician turnover averages 4%, well below industry norms. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Full-time is 32 Patient Contact Hours weekly with 4 hours of administrative time, and a four-day workweek option is available. We offer 35 vacation days annually and our Clinics are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Days. Mankato Clinic also features a generous health benefits plan, $6,600 CME allowance annually, and profit-sharing 401(k). Partnership is offered after one year of employment with minimal buy-in.
