About the Job
Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is experiencing growth at our campus in Westford, MA. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's Microwave Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a Component Engineer who will have the opportunity to join a team of highly competent engineering professionals involved in the design, development, and support of Digital and RF/Microwave Products. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the electrical components in the modules meet the highest reliability requirements as well as the product life cycle requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Component Engineering or obsolescence management or related field.
• Experience with PTC windchill for BOM (Bill of Material) development and management.
• Experience with Parts Standardization application and technology insertion within the design process.
• Experience with creation of Part control Drawings (SCD, VID).
• Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military, and aerospace flight applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Secret clearance required to start
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of circuit card and EEE Parts Material manufacturing processes.
• Function as an experienced component technologist, responsible for the life cycle of electronic components.
• Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines.
